Mr. Gay is a lawyer focused on representing the construction industry. Mr. Gay routinely represents project owners and developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in a variety of construction-related matters, such as breach of contract disputes, payment disputes, scope of work disputes, payment bond claims, claims for additional time and money, perfecting and enforcing mechanics’ liens, construction defect claims, and contract negotiation. In addition to his construction practice, Mr. Gay also represents business owners in general commercial litigation and collection matters.
Before law school, Mr. Gay worked as a project manager for one of America’s largest, privately held real estate companies, managing commercial construction projects in Florida. Following graduation from Liberty University School of Law, Mr. Gay served as associate general counsel for one of Virginia’s largest general contractors. Mr. Gay then worked as an associate attorney in private practice, primarily handling construction law and litigation matters.
Mr. Gay is a Bradenton native, and proud husband and father. When he isn’t working, Mr. Gay enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing a round of golf, spending time on the water, and embarking on the occasional snow-skiing trip.
